With Spraakmakend Van Abbe we offer interactive tours for people with aphasia and brain injury. Every person uses language. When one or more parts of the language spectrum no longer function properly as a result of brain injury, this is called aphasia. Mijke Ulrich, experience expert and social worker, and art historian Jenneke Lambert developed the Spraakmakend Van Abbe-tours together. Art lovers look at art together and are given the opportunity to discuss their experience. With a focus is on a positive, creative and inspiring experience, Mijke describes the tour as ‘open your heart’. The visit ends with a joint conversation and a cup of tea or coffee. The tour is free, excluding museum admission. One partner, introduce or companion per person can enter for free. Please note: this tour is in Dutch.
