Feldenkrais lesson
Feldenkrais lessons at the Van Abbemuseum, every Friday 9:30–10:45

Discover the Feldenkrais Method: a way of moving that helps you use your body with more awareness and ease. The classes are taught by two instructors collaborating with artist Yael Davids as part of her research for her solo exhibition.

Participation costs €7.50. If you wish to visit the museum after the class, you’ll need a separate museum ticket.

We meet at 9:15 at the office entrance on Stratumsedijk 2. Wear comfortable clothing; blankets are available to lie on, and you may bring your own mat.

Multisensory Tour
For blind, visually impaired, and other interested visitors, every second Sunday of the month 14:00–16:00

The Multi-sensory tour offers a museum experience for blind and visually impaired visitors. Participants can touch artworks from the collection and experience how they come to life through music, literature, scent, and more.

The tour is free, excluding museum admission. One partner or caregiver may join for free per participant.

Unforgettable Van Abbe
Guided tour for people with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers, every second Monday of the month 13:30–15:00

Unforgettable Van Abbe offers interactive museum visits for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s, where art creates a safe space for memories, expression, and meaningful connection.

The interactive tour is free, but a museum ticket is required. One partner or caregiver may join for free per participant.

Customized guided tour
A customised guided tour for groups, focusing on our current exhibitions or specific artworks you wish to explore.

The tour lasts one hour and can be booked daily at various times.

A group consists of up to 15 people, and the cost is €90 per group, excluding museum admission. Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance. Free cancellation is possible up to five days beforehand.

Tip: Would you like to combine your tour with a drink or lunch at the Van Abbe cafe? Reserve in advance via info@vanabbecafe.nl to ensure availability.

Toddler and (grand)parent yoga
The classes offer space for movement, rest, play, and connection.'


Óne ticket is valid for one toddler or preschool child ánd one caregiver.
Participants should report promptly at 10:00 at the porters lodge located at Stratumsedijk 2, where they will be met and escorted. The classes run from 10:15 to 11:00. If you arrive late, unfortunately we cannot guarantee participation.

Please wear comfortable clothing. Carpeting and blankets are available in the room, but you are also welcome to bring your own mat.

Children's Art Club
Art viewing and making for ages 6–12, every Saturday 14:00–16:00

Each Saturday, the Children’s Art Club explores a different theme. First, you’ll look at real artworks in the museum. Then you get to create something yourself: sometimes you’ll draw, other times you’ll work with clay or make a painting.

The Children’s Art Club is suitable for children aged 6 to 12 and costs €7.50 per child.

Note: on the first Saturday of every month, we host a special Family Art Club. Each child may bring one adult for free. Please only book tickets for the children.

Daily tour
Every day you can join guided tours by our museum guides from 1:30 to 2:30 PM. The language is Dutch. The costs are 5 euros per person, in addition to a valid admission ticket.

Several times a year we organize a musical tour. The museum choir will guide you through the museum while singing during this tour. You can find the dates of this musical tour on our website.

Tracing the hands that make microchips.
They influence politics, the economy, our bodies and our daily lives. ‘Fingers Crossed’ traces the history of the microchip. It begins with the people who handcrafted the first microchips 70 years ago. It then looks at how microchips are now manufactured automatically and on a very small scale.

In the early days, many microchips were made by groups of women, such as Navajo weavers in New Mexico, Nijmegen and Japan.

The lecture-performance presents archive material, contemporary artworks and original research on an interactive platform hosted by Superkilogirls.com
